This course is designed to introduce the aspiring auto technician to the major elements
of modern auto maintenance and repair. This course will familiarize students with four
ASE areas: brakes, cooling systems, steering and suspension, and charging systems.
Course requirements also include learning analysis and diagnostic skills for these
systems, as well as use of all related tools and pertinent diagnostic equipment. Students
will be exposed to the rules of safety, which are vital to functioning in the modern
technological society. Students are required to have approved safety gear including eye
protection.
