Mr.Harrington is the auto shop teacher at Mount Washington Valley Career and Tech Center. He teaches kids from the new and not so bright freshmen to the upper classmen the seniors. In his eyes people don't go by grade levels, but by there ability with working on Automobiles. He has five class levels, Intro to Auto, Auto II, Auto III, Auto IV, and Auto V, but his Auto IV and V classes are combined.
Students in Automotive Technology will develop an understanding of the major
automotive systems and various employment opportunities within the automotive field.
An emphasis on appropriate safety, shop management and professionalism is included
in the curriculum. Students will be introduced to and learn specific Automotive Service
Excellence (ASE) skills in a hands-on, project-based format. Students who complete the
automotive program will be offered the opportunity to take the ASE certification exam in
four areas. This program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education
Foundation (NATEF). This program will give students a tremendous advantage as the
move directly into the workforce or post-secondary training.
